Many dogs present as fearful in the clinic and that fear may trigger aggressive behavior during veterinary exams. In this webinar, animal behaviorist Kelly Bollen will focus on the emotional component to behavior and help clinic staff address the emotional wellbeing of their patients through safe, humane handling practices that reduce fear and improve the dog’s behavioral response to veterinary exams. More specifically, the webinar will provide:

• A greater understanding of canine body postures and signaling that indicate fear and potential aggressive behavior.
• A greater understanding of which human actions in the clinic contribute to fear and aggression and how best to interact with dogs to reduce both.
• A discussion of humane handling practices that reduce fear and keep veterinary staff safe.
