Join us for a full-day workshop on kitten care and Increasing Survival Rates of Rescued Kittens. Still looking for CE to finish the year? This event is approved by the AAVSB for 5.5 RACE CE hours for Veterinary Technicians and by SAWA for 5.5 CE hours for Certified Animal Welfare Administrators (CAWA).
Presented by The National Kitten Coalition and hosted by the Humane Society of Greater Dayton and Sinclair Community College. This workshop covers all aspects of kitten care including prenatal, neonatal and older kitten care. Attendees will learn how to examine and stabilize a kitten, what to look for and what to do with findings; care for pregnant and nursing queens; how to properly feed and provide daily care for kittens of all ages including bottle baby kittens; recognizing symptoms of illnesses, diagnostics and various treatment options available; identifying and treating internal and external parasites; nutrition; quarantine and vaccination protocols; developmental milestones, socialization and much more!
