FEMA Course
Veterinarians, veterinary technicians, as well as farmers, pet owners, and animal lovers can now learn how to safeguard their animals during a disaster through two new independent study courses offered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The first course discusses how disasters affect people and their animals. The second focuses on incorporating animals into a community's disaster planning and is aimed primarily at emergency management officials and the animal care industry. Materials can be obtained via the FEMA web site
