Veterinary Technicians in Action
NAVTA has initiated conversations with global, national, and state organizations regarding implementing the term Veterinary Nurse for the veterinary technician profession, as well as establishing a national standard for credentialing and using Registered Veterinary Nurse, or RVN, as a unified title.
Members of our profession are calling for these changes, and collaboration between NAVTA, national veterinary organizations, and industry is imperative for successful implementation. These changes will help elevate the profession and give the general public a better understanding of what veterinary technicians do on a daily basis.
Currently, the NAVTA board is formulating a statement regarding the movement.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for all suggestions, questions, and comments.
