Elizabeth, a Texas native, has been working in the veterinary field for over 13 years. She graduated Cedar Valley College’s Veterinary Technology Program in 2004, the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2007, and St. Petersburg College with a Bachelor’s in Veterinary Technology in 2012. Her experience ranges from small animal to large animal, exotics, emergency and critical care, canine rehabilitation, teaching at three community college’s veterinary technology program, end of life care, canine reproduction, and most recently, she has moved over to the industry side, working for Royal Canin as a District Manager on Colorado’s Western Slope.
Elizabeth has been published in several magazines, journals and books, including the NAVTA magazine, Veterinary Medicine Magazine, and the most recent edition of Career Choices for Veterinary Technicians. She also has been instrumental in starting two canine rehabilitation facilities in a veterinary hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Fort Collins, Colorado. Elizabeth won RVT of the Year award in Oklahoma in 2009, and has served on several veterinary/veterinary technician boards as president, treasurer, and secretary.
