Dennis entered the Veterinary profession late in life after spending over 20 years in upper management in retail. He returned to school in the late 1990’s and achieved a degree in Veterinary Technology from the College of Southern Nevada. After working in several practices in the Las Vegas Valley and teaching part-time at CSN, he obtained part-time employment at Pima Medical Institute. He was instrumental in developing the Veterinary Technician program for PMI, writing the curriculum, and starting the company’s first program in 2006. He has been the Veterinary Nursing Program Director for PMI since 2006 and directs the two year Veterinary Technician program as well as the Veterinary Assistant certificate program. Dennis has presented on adult education, vocational education, and veterinary nursing curriculum development. In addition to his Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from CSN, he has gained a Masters of Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Education from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
