Track 1: Small Animal G.I. Medicine – Mike Willard, DVM, MS, DACVIM (SA) Dr. Willard will cover a case-based consideration of regurgitation, vomiting, diarrhea. Common mistakes in diagnosis/treatment will be the focus. Problems including segmental esophageal weakness, esophagitis, gastric ulcers, chronic small bowel diarrhea from dietary and bacterial causes, and chronic large bowel disease will be included. Proteinlosing enteropathies in particular will be addressed, particularly those that are treatable.
Track 2: Small Mammal Medicine – Jennifer Graham, DVM, DABVP, DACZM Dr. Graham will cover dental disease in rabbits and rodents, the critical rabbit, small mammal infectious diseases, and exotic companion mammal emergencies.
Track 3: Personal and Financial Wellness – Michele Gaspar, DVM, DABVP & Margaret Fredrickson, CPA Dr. Gaspar’s lecture is for every veterinarian who is interested in developing an understanding of how to deal with common professional stressors and re-engage with their careers in a more satisfying way. Margaret will share best practices for managing your business and personal finances. She will touch upon debt management, disability and life insurance, how to budget, retirement planning, and overall wealth planning and management. This session will help you gain greater control of your finances and feel confident you have the planning tools for a successful and lucrative career.
