Exotic Medicine: Diseases and Disorders of Companion Animal Exotics is an 8-week, advanced level course, which will help team members increase their knowledge of the diseases and disorders that often present to practices, enabling them to provide comprehensive client education, and to help develop effective diagnostic and treatment protocols. This 8-week course is comprehensive and taught at an advanced level, covering diseases and disorders of every organ system of ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, small rodents, sugar gliders, and hedgehogs. Each species is unique in the diseases and disorders they experience; therefore, each system is covered in detail, and covers viral, bacterial, and parasite infections, along with neoplasia. Course is in on demand format allowing students to enroll at any time. Course meets the requirements for 25 RACE hours of CE credit for licensed veterinary technicians. Jody Nugent-Deal, RVT, VTS (Anesthesia), VTS (Clinical Practice-Exotic Companion Animal) instructs. Click here for more information and to register for course.
