Veterinary Technician Specialties
It is important to understand the two terms
associated with this new area; society and academy.
A society is defined as a group of individuals,
veterinary technicians, hospital staff, veterinarians,
interested in a specific discipline or area
of veterinary medicine. Academy is the term
selected by NAVTA to designate a group receiving
recognition as a specialty.
